I am excited to report Pickpocket Farm has one red tomato. :) It's growing in the hoop house. I will probably harvest it this afternoon. It means we will have lots of tomatoes soon in the shares.
I heard from High Mowing seed co. They have reported to me that the sugar snap peas were mixed with snow peas. And yes they are correct. So... to make things very confusing in the PYO, pick the sugar snap peas when they are FAT, and the snow peas when they are FLAT and SKINNY. Please ask me if you want some help identifying them. The shell peas are ready to harvest now too.
If you visit the pigs, you may notice 2 new brown/red ones. I purchased them from Apple Annies last week. They are fitting in nicely. This variety is a heritage breed known as the "bacon" pig. mmm. mmm. good. :)
